The Crisis Recognition & Peer Response (CRPR) course is an evidence-informed training program developed by Team Defenders to equip Defenders with the knowledge, confidence, and practical skills to recognize, engage, and respond to individuals experiencing mental health challenges, emotional distress, or crises.
Designed specifically for Active Military, Veterans, First Responders, and their families, CRPR focuses on early recognition, peer engagement, de-escalation, resiliency, self-care, and connecting individuals to appropriate support and professional resources before situations escalate into crisis.
Participants learn how stress, trauma, culture, operational mindset, stigma, and mental health conditions can directly impact readiness, relationships, decision-making, and overall well-being. Through real-world scenarios, guided discussions, and practical application, attendees gain tools they can immediately use within their organizations, workplaces, and homes.
